If you don’t have a chance to stay several days in Cusco, or if you are planning to visit other places without spending your money on expensive trains. You’re in the right place!

Day 1: Cusco | Hidroelectrica - Aguas Calientes


The first day of the tour begins with pick up between 7-7:30 am then we depart from Cusco for a trip of 6 hours to arrive at Hidroelectrica.

During the trip, we will stop for a while close by Ollantaytambo (10 to 15 minutes), where you will have the option to buy water and/or other snacks or use the restroom.

Then you will ascend to Malaga Pass where you can observe a beautiful landscape of the high Andean area with snowy peaks and then descend into the high jungle, passing through villages such as Santa Maria and Santa Teresa.

Once you arrive at Hidroelectrica you will have time for lunch, then you begin a walk of two and a half hours (mostly flat) to get to Aguas Calientes (town of Machu Picchu).

Then you will have dinner, in the end, the tour guide will give you instructions about the visit for the next day.


Day 2: Aguas Calientes | Machu Picchu - Hidroelectrica - Cusco


We prepare to begin our ascent to Machu Picchu, the first bus leaves at 5:30 am. Upon arrival at the gate of Machu Picchu, we will meet the guide to start the tour.

This guided tour in Machu Picchu will be around the main parts of the citadel. Then we will have to walk back to Hidroelectrica (3 hours) where we will take our bus (departure 3 pm) to return again to Cusco (arrival approx. 9:30 pm).
